Memphis-native turned Nashville resident, Austin Cain, has been creating music since the age of 15. Austin found his creative outlet in the form of sincere, thought provoking alternative music. Raised on the likes of James Taylor, Jeff Buckley and Stevie Ray Vaughan (alongside John Mayer and Ben Howard) Austin knew early on that music was the passion he’d pursue. He learned piano, cello and started teaching himself guitar in middle school. During college at Auburn University, Austin honed in on his song-writing and guitar playing style. During his time at Auburn he formed a band and started playing weekly bar gigs and greek events. For his second EP, “Perspective,” Austin wanted to capture the songwriting styles of his childhood - embracing those older influences, but with a modern feel and mellow guitar tones.
